NOTE: Since shifting servers, we are back to just the default style. A new style designed for the forum will be made one day...

There are a few different styles available, if you don't like/enjoy the default style of the forum.

To change styles, click on User Control Panel (at the top right of the page), then Board Preferences, and change the Board Style option.

Feel free to suggest any new styles that you have found online, or, if anyone has the skills to do so, make one especially for this - I could discuss designs and possibly renumeration with whoever is interested.

The style called subsilver2noads is the same as the subsilver2 default style, but without ads!

I like this one, but the writing is hurting my eyes

I think I'll stick to the Chronicles version - you can't see Del's avatar on that

Ahhg, chronicles is like the inside of a million dollar yacht! It's like writing on the wall or something lol...

Your avatar has to fit with all themes, not fair!

This may sound silly, but when I use the Etech Green style... I lose the 2012 forum logo and I can't stand that ;)... Does this happen to everyone?

Unfortunately it comes down to cost/benefit. My coding and design skills are weak, and the effort required isn't really worth it considering how few members use that theme (21 out of 1800).

The good news is, when I get a moment, I'll be hiring someone to create a unique style for this forum. But the way work is, that might be months away :(

Call it future-proofing, mixed with adding some mystery...

Stats for the last month at Survive 2012:

1. 1024x768 103,634 33.20%
2. 1280x800 70,262 22.51%
3. 1280x1024 36,060 11.55%

4. 1440x900 28,545 9.15%
5. 1680x1050 17,950 5.75%

6. 800x600 10,596 3.39%
7. 1152x864 8,564 2.74%
8. 1280x768 5,737 1.84%

9. 1920x1200 5,493 1.76%
10. 320x396 4,726 1.51%

Already 38% of visitors are viewing wider than 1024, and 15% can see the full image without scrolling. Given than a 24" monitor is down to $400 or less, I expect in a year from now, most visitors will be able to see all of it.
