Some of what is mentioned below I wrote on Randy's forum - so skip it if you've heard it before!

Kids are different today because they are born into a different state of consciousness to that of what we were.

I remember my parents/grandparents saying that we were different when we were kids too - to what they were when growing up.

I’ve read a lot of books on Indigo Children and a lot of it appears to be very flawed in as much as parents with a spiritual outlook all want their children to now be an Indigo Child.

Yes, there will always be “special gifted” children, just as there was in our day. But, there is more exposure in a spiritual sense now, than what there ever has been.

Doreen Virtue really glamorized this idea and assumed that anyone with ADD or ADHD and prescribed Ritalin was that of an Indigo Child.

We’re recognising awareness in kids today as being open minded, as we too are this way. It was largely suppressed when we were kids and not many recognised open-mindedness in us, as the consciousness of the human mind was only slightly ajar.

The early years are the best for learning, and kids today cannot help but absorb vast amounts of information - relative to kids of earlier generations.

It makes sense they they will seem smarter.

But really, the biggest stimulator of the Indigo Child movement is the basic joy and wonder of having children, and some new age folk not understanding that this is normal, not just unique to a few.

My kids are amazing, but I'm not so deluded to think they are uniquely amazing.

Hmmm... my kid hacked into a website at 14 months, but still doesn't or can't speek at 18 months. My oldest cannot grasp numbers yet, but can solve just about any situational problem I throw at him... and he cusses like a drill sergeant (no idea where he picked that up from). Kids are the same as they always have been each unique... they just have more tools now adays than we had when we were younger etc etc etc.

Why are many of the different 'messiahs' associated with the color blue?

Is it a coincidence that we place our future in the hands of the Indigo children?
No coincidence is it?

The colour blue = depression... If you want to be sad today... wear blue.

Again, Raphael... you don't make any sense... you're always on the attack. Go sit in a corner or something.

Anyway, Indigo children or otherwise, are children who come into the world with specail gifted qaulities... like Sylvia Browne for example. They are mission life entities.

On the attack ... oh my are you paranoid ... ready for 2012?

I don't make sense?
No you don't understand.

BLUE is only depression for those that prefer RED.
I prefer BLUE.

Most mystics love blue, I do.

I have sat in that corner of my CAVE, like you suggested.
With the mystics PI-thagoras and Hildegard de Bingen.

She saw Unity in BLUE...so did PI.
So did the mystic Itzhak Bentov...
The Tibetans suggest the EWE avoid the DIFFUSE white light and head for the BLUE...

Then we have Tyrian Purple and Biblical BLUE ... highly revered in Judaism.

Oh my ... is it a coincidence that purple and BLUE are close in shade to Indigo?

Or what the 9-10 incarnations of Vishnu ... BLUE each time.
And Krishna ... BLUE
The Hopi 'messiah' ... marking the end of their days?
BLUE..

What color is the light we are being bathed in right now?
Ultra-violet BLUE...

What color robe is draped around all the Crucifixes in Peru?
What color are many of their doors?
BLUE and BLUE...

What color are most homes in Greece, the colors on their flag?
White and BLUE...

Do you know what the terms Red-shift and BLUE-shift in science mean?

Feeling BLUE take a RED pill and join the illusion sweetie.

So ya thought ya BLUE me away with yer comment eh?
Next time I may really let ya think what's on my mind...
So you hang in there and believe what ewe want to believe.
The buddhist who loves BLUE suggests you LET GO of your illusions created by the WHITE light.

I study symbols, what do you do Cam?
And the reason I sound pissy sometimes is because people like yourself ... lacking certain pieces of the puzzle ... go around pissing in dark corners with unawareness.

I do not like to be pissed on.
Okay?
Have a nice day.
I need to take a shower now, thanks alot.

I’ve always associated the colour blue as a “calming or peaceful” sense, mixed with an "ease of expression". I’ve never once felt blue as being a “depressive” attribute to the feeling attached.

My 2yo won't eat off a plate unless it is blue - not because he is depressed, just his favorite color...

(yay, two consecutive American spellings!)

children born in even the last 10 years are very different than those born before them. They seem more capable of compassion and of putting themselves in the place of another...and they hold onto it longer then children did 20 or 30 or more years ago. I spent my life being a teacher and counselor and later, a psychotherapist..and it seems to me that there is no question that this is happening.
Now, as to the question of the color blue (ha). The sky is made up of such amazingly beautiful different colors and shades of just breathtaking blueness..as is the amazing oceans and seas on our planet. If you never thought u liked the color blue, just take a few minutes to look up and be amazed at that wonderous color.
