The Feathered Serpent is a symbolism unquestionably for Satan. According to the Dictionary of Ancient Deities, Quetzalcoatl is ‘supreme deity and God of air, clouds and the wind.” This is curious because this is exactly how the Bible describes Satan: “according to the Prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.” Ephesians 2:2.
... "Lucifer, the Light-bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the spirit of darkness! Lucifer, The Son of The Morning! Is it he who bears the light . .? Doubt it Not!" -- Mason Albert Pike
Well, it's not quite as easy as saying Indians worshipped the Devil, and then taking that word as connoting all the evil we've conjured up since it was invented in a confused rewrite of Chaldean legend.
The greatest propensity for evil inevitably lies within those in whom we place the most faith. For example, our first god wanted to keep us slaves to tend his garden, ordered us created stupid and then curtailed our lifespans! Google the phrase "child abuse" in conjunction with any religious denomination and stand by to be disgusted and disappointed. The most "successful" devils love altars, priestly robes, crowns or have secret service protection.
Like the ancients of Sumeria and Babylon, Native Americans worshipped the Most High God (called Alalush/Allah/Anu/El) -- which is the Great Spirit pictured in Aquila the Thunderbird. But then, they also worshipped signs of the pole reversal like the Tree of Life with the Serpent "Kan" at the top. Like the rest of us in better times, they also remembered the Mother.
There is also that little difficulty where John quoted Jesus saying "I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."
Revelation 22:16And elsewhere, Venus is described as Lucifer. "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!" From that standpoint, you could say Jesus is claiming that he is Lucifer. The truth is a little more complicated. It probably goes all the way back to a conflict in the Age of Gemini ... the fight between El and Ea (Abel and En-ki/Ca-in), in which the identity of the bad guy was switched. (You would have to read the
Secret Book of John.) Jesus is circumstantially identifying himself with Ea/Yahweh. Now, whether he literally saw himself as Ea's reincarnation is doubtful, despite a couple of wild statements by John like the I AM and a condemnation of the Jews in John 8.
But there is a BETTER WAY to view the whole Quetzlcoatl thing. Look at the Plumed Serpent as
Draco. Or, as in Arthurian legend, look at Draco as the White Dragon that takes on the Red Dragon of the Revelation. Look at Draco as a symbol -- like its celestial opposite the Cross -- for the pole reversal. Look at Draco as the symbol of the Christ sacrificed on our behalf. Look at God as the sign of the Son of Man (Aquarius riding Pegasus, the one who slew the Dragon).
Compare with Psalm 74:14 & Isaiah 51:9Then some rather interesting quotes of the Church Fathers begin to make sense:
To those ... of the children of Israel were bitten in the wilderness, Moses exhibited the real and perfect serpent; and they who believed on this serpent were not bitten in the wilderness. ... This serpent is the power that attended Moses. ... No one, then ... can be saved or return into Heaven without the Son, and the Son is the Serpent. Hippolytus, Refutation V Chap. 12Why, then, is the serpent called wise? ... Wisdom being manifold, pervading the whole world, and all human affairs, varies its appellation in each case. When it applies itself to first causes, it is called Understanding. When ... it confirms this by demonstrative reasoning, it is termed Knowledge, and Wisdom, and Science. When it is occupied in what pertains to piety ... it is called Faith. In the sphere of things of sense ... Right Opinion. In operations ... it is Art. But when, ... by the observation of similarities ... it is called Experiment. But belonging to it, and supreme and essential, is the Holy Spirit. Clement, StromateisMost of the names and symbols are allegories of events that took (and take) place in the sky. The serpent of Moses, Nakhasch/Nehushtan, was taken from a celestial event around the time of the Exodus. Venus getting in trouble from its arrogance came during the last "Sun" event of the Egyptians, Sumerians and Mayans. The superiority of the Eagle or Owl was the blue Katchina star lighting up at the center of the Milky Way, unleashing unbelievable destruction. The Son of Man asterism was the great sign of the ancients warning of the coming pole reversal.
One can choose to worship the Galaxy and its black Sun (like the Bilderburgers with their Moloch/Molech) saying that is where the Most High God lives ... or one can choose the white Sun and the Son of Man as being the Lord of this world. Both are essential signs of the End Times. The first one, Adam/Anu, was killed in a "hunting accident" according to Sanchoniathon. The second who replaced him, El/Abel, enjoyed animal sacrifices and revelled in the sacrifice of first-borne. The Lord, number-two position of Middle Eastern gods, who took power about the time of the Exodus -- was Jehovah/Yahweh/Ea/Enki.
God said to Moses, "I am who I am." Exodus 3:14
I AM the Lord; and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them. Exodus 6:3I suppose you could call him the Devil if you want to, but that would be a little less than precise.
