Well...there is something profoundly eerie about number 10. It’s the look in the horse's eye that pulls on my heartstrings. As for color and composition, Number 2 is awesome. If we’re strictly talking the eruption itself, I’m blown away with the first picture.
All in all, I had a feeling of sadness after viewing all of them. It is what I expected to feel, but didn’t realize it would stay with me for so long. Kind of reminds me of when I looked at the ash on the shoulders of the firemen after 9/11 during all the news coverage. Ash is just so dull and eerie in and of itself, it just embodies the word “death”

Seeing the crops covered in it and the animals and the houses in the midst of it all just makes me appreciate the sunshine that I felt on my face this morning. No one ever knows what tomorrow will bring.
