Big red X on google earth!

Can anyone tell me why google earth wont let me zoom in anywhere over Africa.
I have no trouble zooming in anywhere else, just Africa.

All i get is this picture. Anyone know what it is?

I just signed in and went straight to where you were. No X here. I really wanted to see that too..

Well i left it for a while thinking it might just go away. Then i logged out and started it up all over again, but to the same problem. Maybe its just a loading error on my computer. I'd just never seen it before so i was wondering if anyone else has?

Well the cross is growing in size and gradually taking over google earth :lol:

It is now coverng exactly half of the earth on there, its really annoying and i cant seem to shift it.

I can't remember, but I believe you can right click on an image overlay to get into its properties, which will let you fix it - or remove it. If that doesn't work you can still look for it in your saved placemarks.
