AstralWalker's talk in Melbourne yesterday had some slides about GeoGlyphs. It was interesting hearing all the gasps in the audience when he showed the Chinese pyramids...

But this, I have not seen before:

It is in China, near the Mongolian border
It is big - looks like hills etc don't get in the way

So..
The earth was branded at some point?
:|

Does that mean there is a whole herd of planets out there bearing the same branding? :D
Sweeeeet.

Great find, Rob!

So.. our planet has a bar code..

..which means..

..we really ARE a reptilian slave colony! :(

But seriously.. I've been hunting for explanations and haven't found much.. anyone for trying to break down the visual language and highlighting patterns (if any) ?
I've been staring at this thing for awhile and haven't drawn too many conclusions..

It looks like a spider's web.

Have you ever given a thorough look at a web? Sometimes they vaccilate between symmetric/asymetric. I still don't understand how they form the first thread upon wide gaps.

Although I have to say I've never seen a rectangular web unless it's framed?

Maybe it's a broken window?

..is this ancient or something that has recently come to light..?
what actual information is there regaurding this 'map' and is
it possible that ALL continents have 'glyphs' that can only be seen
from above - maybe there is a connection...

in the clearing to the left, chain-drags are visible. Above same clearing, 'looks like borrow pits and possible belly-dump practice runs with fresh tire tracks. In the "glyph" area, looks like the practice runs of a grader some 3-5 years ago.
That's one bored equipment operator runnin' around out there.

I don't think the resolution is that high...

I would think a geologist could determine when the treks were dug?

Excavators would leave obvious treads. I'm sure a ground crew could either put this to rest or open a new can of worms.

It could be superimposed then touched up to look like it has been there for a long time. Why has it not been known like the Nazca lines, which has been in the public eye for years?

Unless the satelite image was superimposed from the source it is there. Here are the center coordinates:

40deg 27'28.45" N 93deg 23'35.88"E

That area is very remote and desolate. There are other odd geological formations several mile east although nothing like this glyph.

He'd have to be really, really bored. There's very little around for miles and miles.

I'll agree there has been human activity out there. Military test area? I don't know. It looks like a mock runway to the east and a mock villiage nearby. Both have obviously taken damage. To the south of the village there are rows of what could have been bunkers maybe. I don't think they are ruins. If it was/is a military test sight the glyph is a very bizzare feature and I'm not sure what purpose it would have. There is clearly watershed over it in spots. The dimensions are roughly 1 mile square and the lines themselves average 50 foot wide. I can understand a mock runway and village but a mosaic pattern makes no sense to me even for a bored machine operator.

This has got to be some kinda Rob' Pop-Quiz...........
"Chinese Glyphs for $100 Alex"
awe-right me crap track some dead wild Mongolian geese.....

It's all a part of a mining complex.

the tan square (not to be confuciously confused with Dan Tien nor Tienanmen square)
is an overburdern depository, 1x1 km m/l.
to the north runs a road to railroad tracks for ore transport
on either side of said road are borrow pits and or impounds and or or mills sites
a couple miles east of your glyph is the mining area, old paved landing strips & helipad plus newer concrete landing & helipad inclusive.

Now, why did those miners run an old road grader to create an cubist impressionist's fractal some 2x2kms in the middle of a low grade mining complex?
Break out a ouija board and summon a Chinese blacklung miner deceased circa 1982 for that one.

*Alex* oh sorry bubba, "What is the Nazca lines of Northern Province?" is what we were looking for....

minus $200?! Screw you Alex, I quit.

It looks totally fake. And then I saw the name of the website, Google Earth Hacks? I'm not even going to bother looking for it on Google Earth. It does not exist.
