I hope you are mechanically inclined and willing to carry around maintenance kits to keep it operating. I don't care what any video designed to sell you onto the thing, all its good for is a club if its not working.

Sure the firepower is nice. But a break over single shot, a pumpgun, a bolt action will keep working when that thing is froze up.....sorry.

I'm quite adapt at mechanics and electronics, but you do have a big point there.
Mind you, what's stopping a 220 from breaking more than this?
This gun is meant for long term survival (as in the gun not breaking).
It is also a trusted weapon of several nations.

Nah, this is an assault rifle, like an AK 47.
Did you mean the MP7? It's been out since 2001, but it's considered better than the MP5:

>>>I have traded off every automatic I've ever owned for accuracy or dependability reasons. Only have one automatic Benelli shotgun, because it is a simple blowback action, but for survival in ultra harsh conditions it would be the last one I'd grab. Saltwater, mud, grit, ice, volcanic ash, give me a gun I know will shoot. Sure, they make many automatics better now, but that's what they said about a lot of things the military has had to use so I suggest you run it by people that actually have used them if possible before plunking down the money. Trying to help...

That's okay, also, when bullets start to run out, it's going to be a hell of a lot easier to produce shotgun pellets than NATO rounds, lol.

029- the first weapon pic looks like a stagg arms AR the second is an HK, I would suggest taking a look at the SIG 556 or the cheaper kel-tec su-16C both use the real stoner system wich is better than the modified AR and stay a whole lot cleaner. the califonia restrictions may not apply to the KEL-Tec either both use standard M16 magazines.

CBL-nope that is not an HK but you are right they make some of the best firearms.

Eddie- benneli is excelent they use the same system as the browning auto5(inertia recoil). for those who may not understand; most auto shotguns are gas operated, they use expelled gas from the round to push the bolt carrier back and eject the spent round and pick up a new one. the recoil base uses the force from the recoil to accoplish the same results and it does so clean and more reliably.

vonknabe- those wouldn't be fire breathing chickens would they?

Seriously, I have a Rossi .357 (my "purse" gun), a Marlin 30/30 (no scope - I got it for hog hunting, but have yet to spot a single hog since I bought it! LOL!). Those are my only two "personal guns". My husband, on the other hand, has an arsenal. LOL! Deer rifles, shotguns, all kinds of fun things (nothing "assualt" or military, though). And he has a larger (Smith & Wesson) .357 than me (mine has a 3' barrel and his is 4" or maybe even 5") and a couple 9 mm semi-autos. I am buying a Taurus 9 mm from a friend at work, though, because my .357 makes my purse SO heavy.

I have been stocking up on ammo, too. I've found that the best time to buy shotgun and rifle ammo is right AFTER hunting season, when they go on sale. .357 shells are NEVER on sale, so I buy a lot of .38 shells for target practice, because they are much cheaper, and save the .357 shells for Serious Business. Like walking through parking lots and malls by myself.

:-)

4 or 5 times I've stopped at Cabela's just west of Phoenix, Arizona. I think its called Goodyear, AZ, and there have been California cops in there buying sniper rifles to shoot you guys with. I'd be careful how much you reveal. Or bait others into revealing...not implying anything,...just you can't be too careful.

Eddie,
Bait others? What are you implying?-- you certainly are implying something. California cops buying hardware "to shoot you guys with"??? Can you please explain. I'm a citizen of the United States and I enjoy the rights granted to me by this great land including the right to speak freely AND own firearms. Know this: any firearms I choose to keep under the law are PROTECTED under the law, so I have nothing to hide. I'm a proud member of the National Rifle Association, I know my rights, and I got good aim.

Best,
Victor
